Hello!

Having re-entered the world of software development in early 2014, I spent my first year working on a few self-directed iOS projects. Most recently, I've worked as a teacher's assistant for a course in Python with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Sciences at the Iron Yard Academy in Durham, NC.

Since graduating from NC State University in 2004 with a Masters in Computer Science, I've also played drums for rock n roll band Valient Thorr. This experience has not only been an incredible creative endeavor but it's also allowed me to travel and work with people all across North America and throughout Europe.

A Python program which utilizes the popular machine learning library, SciKit-Learn.
It takes snippets of code and can determine which language it is written in from a list of 12 languages. This was one of my favorite homeworks of the Iron Yard class and I was happy to have scored a 90% accuracy by the end using Extra Trees Random Forest algorithm.
